Optimized for non-directional and small LED replacement lamps such as B10 candelabra, E17, GU10 and A19 bulbs, Cree XLamp® XT-E and XM-L High Voltage White LEDs deliver both high lumen output and high efficacy in a small footprint. Unlike other high voltage LEDs in the market, you do not have to compromise between size and efficacy.

Small Footprint

The XLamp XT-E High Voltage LED and the XLamp XM-L High Voltage LED are 15 to 40 times smaller than high voltage LED arrays, making them easy to integrate into the smallest LED designs. Their small form factors provide more room for the LED driver and heat sink in space-constrained designs, such as B10, GU10, or E17 retrofit lamps.

Efficient

Both LEDs offer the right combination of efficacy and size to enable up to 40W B10 replacement lamp. The XLamp XM-L High Voltage White LED delivers up to 260 lumens at 2.0W and the XT-E High Voltage White LED delivers up to 122 lumens at 1.0W at 85°C.

High Voltage

With a typical voltage of 46V, the XLamp XT-E and XM-L High Voltage White LEDs enable driver circuits that are 15% smaller, 10% lower cost, and up to 20% more efficient than standard voltage LEDs. These system optimizations can enable more efficient, cost-effective and better LED replacement lamps for small bulb types.

Cree XLamp® High Voltage LEDs enable smaller, more efficient LED driver circuit

The image shows the difference in size between the driver circuit for high voltage and standard voltage LEDs. The high voltage LED driver circuit on the left is much smaller than the low voltage LED driver circuit on the right.

Less Power Wasted = More Lumen Output!

In a shared heat sink system, heat from the power supply can lower the LED lumen output. A cooler system can enable higher lumen output.

All of these system optimization can lead to more efficient, better and cost-effective LED lamps and luminaires, allowing you to provide better and cheaper products to your customers.

Peter Vaughan, Director of Applications Engineering at Power Integrations said: "Maximizing the LED voltage, as Cree has done in the new XM-L High Voltage and XT-E High Voltage LEDs, is a very effective way to minimize current through the LED driver output rectifier. This reduces losses and heat dissipation in the driver and increases the overall system luminous efficacy by several percentage points."
